The
Arkansas Stream Team is a coalition of all the state’s natural resource agencies, some federal agencies and numerous citizen conservation groups coordinated by the Arkansas Fish and Game Commission. It includes over 500 teams statewide that do volunteer work to keep Arkansas waterways clean. Stream Teams are groups of citizens from 6 years old to 106+ who volunteer to join a team, adopt a stream and work to keep it clean and healthy. Teams conduct litter pickups, repair eroding streambanks, plant trees and perform other activities designed to conserve Arkansas’ water resources.Join or start a stream team for the Kings River. Kings River Outfitters provides clean-up supplies and canoes for stream teams on the Kings. We sponsor river clean-ups working with area Boy Scouts, science clubs and anyone else who wants to join a stream team to help remove old tires and other litter from the river. To all the volunteers who help out on the Kings, thanks for helping to conserve this wonderful river.
In 2001 the Arkansas Stream Team awarded Kings River Outfitters as the 2001 Conservation Outfitter of the Year.
